51 people are confirmed dead after a bus plunged into a valley in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The long-distance bus veered off a mountain highway in Nanjiang county on Saturday, falling into a gorge 100 meters below.

The bus was driving from Bazhong city to Ningbo, a coastal city south of Shanghai. Local authorities dispatched 300 rescue workers, who found the bodies of all 51 people by Sunday.

The State Administration of Safety Work has also sent experts to investigate the cause of the accident.
