Participating publishing houses from the Chinese Mainland also hit a record high of 470. They bring a total of 370 thousand published works.
Fujian, the province closest to Taiwan, is displaying more than 1,000 books to introduce cross-strait cultural exchanges.
Beijing remains the guest city at this year's fair, as major publishers present their latest volumes.
