Street dancing is catching on in a big way here in China. From young kids to the elderly, people are getting into street dancing as a way to express themselves freely. We meet two fans of the dance craze, who are generations apart but share the same passion.

From gyms to city parks, trendy young people are dancing to the beat of hip-hop music. They say it's a fun way to communicate and get to know each other.

This is 8-year-old Xu Dan. From the beginning of this year, she became infatuated with street dancing.

Xu Dan has trained as a dancer since she was five. She once studied artistic gymnastics and Latin dance. But she didn't really love dance until she found out about street dancing.

The free style attracted and gave her the urge to dance. Her mother says she was attracted by the individuality of the dance form.

Zhang Xiaohui, Xu Dan's Mother, said, "She loves to dance at school, because there are so many others dancing together with her. She loves the feeling of doing something together."
