Although Hu Jing tends to follow the natural flow of things without much regard for the future, good fortune came to her in 2005. She stepped out of costume dramas into an urban comedy. Director Derek Yee chose her for his film, "Drink Drank Drunk". She plays a senior restaurant manager, who is ambitious, bright and capable. Although she had only a supporting role in the film, she earned critical applause.

More than that however, the film proved to be the catalyst that brought her together with the man who was to become her husband. During the promotional tour for the film at the end of 2005, Derek Yee introduced Hu Jing to his friend, Malaysian businessman Frank Choo. The couple began a friendship that evolved into a long distance relationship.

Hu Jing continued with her career in cinema and on television. She performed in dance shows and released a music album. Her music video captures her multiple talents for singing, dancing and acting.

Hu Jing tied knot with her wealthy boy friend at the end of September. Now the wife of a wealthy businessman, Hu Jing declared her intention to carry on with her career and her continuing climb to the bright lights of stardom.
