A Chinese version of the western opera "Turandot" was staged in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. It's the first time Chinese artists have staged a western opera in Egypt.

"Turandot" is the story of an icy princess who finally succumbs to love. It was Puccini's vision of a Chinese fairy tale. Some of the Opera's arias are familiar to people around the world.
