Export tax rebate hike boosts exporters' mood

The global financial crisis and the resulting shrinking overseas demand has squeezed the profit margins of thousands of Chinese exporters. But China has increased the export tax rebates, making exporters' lives much easier.

China has increased the export tax rebate by two to three percentage points, based on different export products.

As home to the majority of China's exporters, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces have seen thousands of exporters close up this year. Survivors say the tax rebate hike has helped them to regain their footing.
