Anti-government protesters swarm Thai airport

In Thailand, anti-government demonstrators have swarmed Bangkok's international airport.

Opponents and supporters of the government clashed in an escalation of the country's long-running political crisis.

Outbound flights at Suvarnabhumi International Airport were temporarily suspended late Tuesday shortly before hundreds of demonstrators broke through police lines and spilled into the passenger terminal.

Incoming flights were still operating.
