Award-winning actress and singer Karena Lam is a hot topic in entertainment circles on the Chinese mainland these days. The Hong Kong-based actress has the lead role in the star-studded film "Fit Lover."

Lam is best known for her roles in e psychological suspense thrillers. This time she takes on a comedy. She heads a cast that includes 12 actors who are considered leading mainland screen idols.

In "Fit Lover", Lam plays a thirty year old who has intimate encounters with 12 men. The story is both funny and moving. Lam's 12 bachelors are men of appreciably different characters, whom she meets through the intervention of the Angel of Love, played by Huang Bo. There are dialogues that raise uproarious laughter, bringing tears to the eyes of audiences. The film pokes fun at women who search for the much idealized true love. The romantic film is in the genre popular with young female audiences. Rarely however do films like this bring tears of laughter.
