All domestically produced pork products are being recalled after feed was found to be tainted with high levels of dioxins.

The alarm was raised after animals on ten farms in the Republic were given feed containing about 100 times the maximum levels of dioxin permitted by the European Union.

There are reports that some farms in Northern Ireland also used the same feed.
