Cheng believes his acting in this film far surpasses the first movie.

Ekin Cheng, actor, said, "I'm absolutely better in portraying this role. I can convey much more complicated feelings because of the experiences I have encountered in the past decade. My portrayal of the character will be more clear, and exact."

Storm Riders 2 started shooting in Thailand in April, and is scheduled for release at the end of next year.
