Chinese military forces have returned from joint anti-terror military training with their counterparts in southern India. They arrived in Kunming in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Monday morning.

A total of 137 Chinese soldiers arrived in Kunming after wrapping up the China-India anti-terror exercises between December 6th and 12th.

The week-long training was code-named "Hand-in-Hand 2008". It included demonstrations in weapons and equipment along with tactical communication. The comprehensive training took place in India's Belgaum District. The joint exercises were carried out according to the Memorandum of Understanding for Exchanges and Cooperation in the Field of Defense, signed in 2006.

The joint anti-terror training was aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and trust and advancing the development of relations between the Chinese and Indian armies.
