Designers unveiled their 2009 autumn/winter collections at Paris Fashion Week, and it was all about color, shiny fabrics and beautiful silhouettes.

From fushia-colored overcoats and lime-green dresses by Christian Dior, to a multi-coloured patchwork piece by Christian LaCroix, it was certainly a feast for the eyes.

At Valentino, designer Alessandra Facchinetti drew her collection from soft, airy fabrics using a varied palette which included pink, beige and red. And leave it to British designer Vivienne Westwood to inject a bolt of energy to haute couture with tartan capes, ponchos and knitwear.
