A fossil discovery in China's central Henan province is helping people learn about a new dinosaur. The giant Ruyang dinosaur is the biggest ever found in Asia.
With saurian feet, Ruyang's body is at least 30 meters long and the neck is from eight to nine meters long -- new records in Asia. It takes its name from the place where it was found -- Ruyang county near Luoyang city in Hennan province. Beginning in March 2006, 96 places with dinosaur fossils have been found in this area of about 300 thousand square kilometers. The discoveries include at least nine species of dinosaurs.
