The search for 62 containers, that fell into the Yangtze River on Monday, has been postponed due to the arrival of the flood season. Twelve of the containers were carrying dangerous chemicals, but the environmental emergency status, imposed after the accident was lifted on Wednesday.

Experts have been hunting for the containers for two days. But search has been hampered by the complicated riverbed and the rapid flow of water because of the flood season. The work was postponed at noon on Wednesday for safety reasons and experts are trying to for better solution alternatives. Water quality tests, at ports along the river, have not shown signs of contamination. Water supplies to nearby residents resumed on Wednesday.
