Pop stars offer assistance to Taiwan typhoon victims
Adjust font size:

Famous Taiwan singer A-mei lost two relatives in the disaster. And she is now visiting the affected areas. Many other Chinese pop stars have also offered their assistance.

It's the famous "bridge over troubled water", but this is a Chinese-language version.

Late Monday in Hong Kong, hundreds of Chinese celebrities raised money for victims in Taiwan.

Represented by his wife, Hong Kong movie mogul Run Run Shaw donated 100 million New Taiwan Dollars, or 3 million US dollars. The 101 year old charity giant has donated billions of dollars to schools, hospitals and other disasters during the past few years.

Other big names like Eric Tsang, Zhang Guoli, Sally Wu and Andy Lau joined in the performance.
