The state funeral for Kim Dae Jung will take place in Seoul on Sunday afternoon.

The funeral is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM local time, and is expected to last four hours. It will be held at the National Assembly Plaza in central Seoul.

Kim Dae Jung will be laid to rest at the Seoul National Cemetery. The former president passed away due to pneumonia-related complications at the age of 85.

Kim began his presidency in 1998 and served for five years.

During his administration, Kim met with DPRK leader, Kim Jong-il, in the first meeting between leaders since the end of the Korean War.
