Six Chinese workers have been killed in a traffic accident in Algeria. Four others were injured, while one is in a serious condition.

The accident took place on Tuesday night in Send-jas, an area in the country's northwestern Ch-lef Province. A bus carrying 10 Chinese workers was hit by a truck. The victims were a group comprised of two companies: China International Trust Investment and China Railway Construction Corporation.They are building Algeria's East-West expressway.

The Companies have sent a team of rescuers to the scene of the accident. And China's Embassy in Algeria is also sending representatives to deal with the aftermath.
