Police have detained a former employee at a Chinese Coca-Cola bottling plant, in connection to an investigation into corruption.

A spokesman for Coca-Cola says the company's bottling plant is actively cooperating with the police investigation and is in strict compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The former employee worked at the Shanghai Shenmei Beverage & Food Company.

The Chinese language National Business Daily reports that the corruption investigation involved about 10 million yuan. The company has declined to comment on the amount.
