Anniversary of Taiwan pandas marked

Tuantuan and Yuanyuan, the pair of pandas presented to Taiwan by the Mainland, have now lived in their new home for about 52 weeks.

 

Sunday marks the one year anniversary of their official debut at the Taipei Zoo. To celebrate the event, a special gift was given to the establishment by the Taipei University Hospital.

They have been the new darlings of the Taipei Zoo for the past year.

More than 3 million visits were paid to Tuantuan and Yuanyuan. This has helped increase the facility's income.

"Which animal do you want to see most?"

"Panda!"
