Huang Weimin, the guy behind 'Happy Goat and Big Big Wolf'

In 2009, the film with the same name raked in 100 million yuan in box office, a miracle for a domestic cartoon film.
"One day on the street I heard some students call each other by the names in the series. I realized the series had become a hit."
Elementary School Students, said, "I'm Fei Yangyang. "
"She is Mei Yangyang. "
"I'm Xi Yangyang."
"I think these characters are very lively and very funny."
But Huang didn't rest on his laurels. He went on to create major characters of another cartoon series "Happy Baby", in which four little superheroes, fight against invaders under the leadership of a talented mechanic.
Huang Weimin said, "This mechanic likes to stay at home, like me. But I made his eyes wider, because I long for wide eyes."
His new cartoon characters were chosen as the volunteers' mascot for the Guangzhou Asian Games. And children fell in love immediately.
"Happy Baby" went on TV in July, and viewer numbers of the first installment surpassed that for the "Goat and Wolf" series.
Huang Weimin said, "Being a celebrity is not my dream. I simply like to make my creations. I would like to produce more cartoon figures liked by audience. I'll keep my simple pure heart to do my creation. This is the most important."
Like the Big Big Wolf, Huang has got a wife and a son in real life. He enjoys being with them, and refuses all interviews of his family members.
The man who has a child in his heart seems to have the key that opens the worry-free kid's world, and help audiences roam freely between it and the real one, and have fun all the way.
