And it is especially true for tens of millions of Indonesians that are living below the poverty line.

Rieke Diah Pitaloka, member of Parliament said, "These people are forced to find alternative treatments, because of our broken health system, a lot of these poor people were turned away from hospitals, even government hospitals, because all of the hospitals here are profit based"

So while the government has put up signs to discourage this dangerous practice, for them, this is often the only choice.
