The "X-Men" film franchise pioneered the massive success of comic superhero film adaptations. Now, the second film in the prequel trilogy, "Days of Future Past" includes actors from the original trilogy, but also new faces such as Peter Dinklage and China's own Fan Bingbing. Both appeared at a red-carpet premiere in Beijing on Tuesday, along with the "The Wolverine", Hugh Jackman.

The star-studded ensemble of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" have been assigned to 6 cities around the world as part of a huge promotional campaign for the film. Beijing has been blessed with the likes of Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage and Fan Bingbing.

Camera and cellphone-toting Chinese fans flock to the venue, hoping to catch a glimpse of the three stars. It's a homecoming of sorts for Chinese actress Fan, who is making her first appearance in a film in the "X-Men" franchise. She's the subject of gushing praise from co-star Jackman.

"We were all so thrilled to have her (Fan Bingbing) as part of the X-Men family, and Bingbing's first day of shooting was my first day of shooting, and we shot the future scenes with all the original X-Men. And so it was a reunion for us, and I think you (Fan) felt very comfortable, at home, and she's an amazing actress who has an ability, no matter how big the stage, to be very centered and very powerful, and very poised, and we are just honored to have her as part of this film," said Hugh Jackman, actor of "X-Men: Days of Future Past".
