On the second day we bring you the latest collection from designer Monique Lhuillier, who says she found inspiration from the Caribbean sun for her new fashion line. She also remembers late comedian Joan Rivers. |
But as New York Fashion Week rolls on, the fashion world is still reeling from the death of comedian Joan Rivers. Before her show, designer Monique Lhuillier recalls Rivers approach to life and humor.
"I unfortunately did not know her personally, but I was a big fan of the way she approached life. You know she always brought light to everything that she touched and fashion particularly because she made fun of it and you know she didn't make people take it too seriously," Monique Lhuillier said.
As evening hits the runway, Lhuillier uses sheer fabric and lace on both cocktail and evening dresses. The sunrise surprise concludes with petal shaped confetti raining down on the runway.
