Nigerian ministry of water resources visits China's water diversion project

Suleiman Hussein Adamu, Nigerian minister of water resources, led a delegation to visit the South-to-North Water Diversion project in Beijing on July 19.

The delegation visited the showroom of the project's Beijing section, the Tuancheng Lake Open Channel, and the adjusting pool of the Tuancheng Lake.

The Nigerian visitors hailed the scale and efficiency of the South-to-North Water Diversion project, and inquired about the allocation and water quality of the diverted water.

Suleiman said the project is impressive and the builders are smart, and the project will benefit the Chinese people and the future generations.

He said he believes the experience learned from the Chinese water diversion project will provide important references to the Lake Chad water transfer project in central Africa, which aims to restore the water body to its normal level.
