Security measures stepped up in Pakistani cities after attacks

Security measures have been stepped up in major Pakistani cities after recent blast attacks killing over 100 people.

 

Police in the capital city of Islamabad and the garrison city of Rawalpindi have set up more check posts and conduct more strict security checks. Xinhua reporters saw the security personnel on guard are wearing bullet-proof jackets.

 

In the northwest city of Peshawar, more contingents of police have been deputed for ensuring the security after a suicide blast hit the Central Investigation Agency office.

 

According to police sources, the provincial capital city remains mournful on the second day of the suicide blast, while the number of death toll has risen to 15.

 

Security measures have been further stepped up in the east city of Lahore after Oct. 15 terror incidents.

 

Police force continues snap checking of suspected persons and vehicles on various parts of the Punjab capital city.

 

Number of policemen has been increased on sensitive public and private installations and other key spots in the city.

 

Police is not only snap checking the vehicles, but also frisking the suspected wayfarers.

 

Meanwhile, duration of police patrolling has been raised in fear of the possible terror acts in the city, whereas recently formed Emergency Response Force is on high alert.
