CPC, Laos' ruling party discuss party building

Senior officials of Communist Party of China (CPC) and Laos' ruling People's Revolutionary Party(LPRP) met in Beijing on Wednesday, exchanging views on theoretical and practical issues of party building.

The Sino-Laotian relations have witnessed remarkable progress in recent years under efforts of both leaders, said Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, in a meeting with Thongsing Thammavong, member of the Central Political Bureau of the LPRP and President of the Lao National Assembly.

Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau and Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said China was willing to work with Laos to continue exploring new areas of cooperation. 

Under the guidance of the spirit of long-term stability, good neighborliness, mutual trust and all-round cooperation, China was ready to work with Laos to advance their comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation and be good neighbors, friends, comrades and partners for ever.

Thongsing said both as countries adhering to the socialist road and the policy of reform and opening up, "we are willing to work with the Chinese comrades and learn from each other to jointly promote the healthy development of bilateral ties."
