Two suicide bombers were killed Monday evening when they detonated explosive-packed car at a police check post near the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore, police chief said.

Pervez Rathore told reporters that two bombers exploded their car at the check post at the entrance of Lahore, the capital of Punjab province.

Rathore said that three policemen and four civilians were injured in the attack. He said the policemen were critically hurt while the civilians are out of danger.

Police man Saeed said that he was on duty on the check post when a car exploded at Babo-Sabo inter-change.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack. But Pakistani militants are blamed for such attacks.

The police chief said the bomber exploded car when they were stopped at the check post by the police.

Earlier in the day, a bomber killed at least 30 people in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, according to police chief Rao Muhammad Iqbal. The bomb attack also injured 60 others.
