A blast tore through a bus carrying Iranian passengers in Syrian capital on Thursday, killing and wounding at least a dozen of people.
Xinhua learnt that the bus exploded in al-Sayeda Zainab neighborhood in southern Damascus.
Witnesses said they saw two dead bodies and human remains scattered in the area. The area is home to Iraqi refugees and is also a pilgrimage site for Shiite Muslims.
The death toll has not been announced officially yet.
Lots of Iranian tourists head to the area to visit the shrine of Sayeda Zainab.
