The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a concert, which was performed by the students from Pyongyang elementary and high schools, to celebrate the lunar new year on Sunday.

During the concert entitled "General and Children," the students performed 19 programs featuring songs, dances, and traditional musical instrument ensembles. They praised their ex-president Kim Il Sung and top leader Kim Jong Il, and expressed their pride in their motherland.

Their praise of the DPRK leaders and pride in their motherland were reflected in the names of the programs, such as "We Offer New Year Greetings to the Fatherly General," and "My Country Is the Best."

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and other senior officials of the ruling Workers' Party, the government and the army attended the concert.
