Chinese state councilor meets Israeli deputy PM

Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met here Friday with Moshe Yaalon, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Strategic Affairs, discussing bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern.

Dai spoke highly of the stable and sound development of China-Israel relationship, saying that to consolidate and develop the friendly cooperation is the common aspiration of the two countries.

Yaalon expressed satisfaction with the development of Israel-China relations since the two countries forged diplomatic ties 18 years ago, saying Israel would continue to enhance cooperation with China in various fields.

Yaalon arrived in Beijing Thursday afternoon on a three-day visit to China.
