The U.S. Geological Survey on Sunday upgraded an earthquake in Baja California, Mexico, to 7.2 magnitude from 6.9 magnitude.

The depth of the strong quake was also revised at 10 km instead of 32 km, the USGS said.

The epicenter of the earthquake is located in Baja California, the northernmost state of Mexico that boarders U.S. southern California.

The tremor was felt in southern California, which sent high-rises in major cities like Los Angeles and San Diego rocking back and forth.

There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.
