Chinese, U.S. officials discuss internet, intellectual property rights

Wang Chen, director of China's State Council Information Office, met with Robert D. Hormats, U.S. under secretary of state for economic, energy and agricultural affairs, in Beijing Thursday.

They discussed the development and administration of the Internet and the protection of intellectual property rights.

Both agreed that related departments and institutions of the two countries should continue to conduct exchanges and dialogues in the field of the Internet to strengthen mutual understanding.
