A 30-year-old Syrian man, who lived in north-central Syrian governorate Raqqa, threw his four children on Friday into the Euphrates river and drowned them, the Syrian local Arab website SNS reported on Saturday.
Zakaria, the father, has been detained and confessed that he had killed his four children, two boys and two girls, by throwing one after another into the Euphrates due to a family dispute, the report said.
He told police that he started with throwing his eldest daughter, 4 years old, and waited until she was drowned, then followed with other three children after taking some photos.
The bodies of the dead children have been found by police, said the report.
