Somali pirates seize 3 Thai fishing vessels: official

Somali pirates have seized three Thai fishing vessels off the Somali coast, East Africa Coordinator of Seafares Assistance Program (SAP) Andrew Mwangura confirmed on Tuesday.

There are a total of 77 crew believed to be Thai on board the seized MV Prantalay 11, 12 and 14, which are owned by PT Interfishery Ltd.

The ships were hijacked on Sunday nearly 2,000 km off the Somali coast.
