Parts of Times Square in New York City are expected to be reopened to the public Tuesday night after a suspicious package was determined as garbage.

Parts of Times Square were evacuated again due to the report of a suspicious package on the 48th Street and Broadway Avenue of Times Square at 9:06 p.m. though the package was believed to be garbage.

A bomb squad was called to the scene to inspect the package.

Times Square had been shut down several times over the past week or so after receiving reports of suspicious packages or other stuff.

The evacuation comes on the heels of an attempted car bombing in Times Square on May 1.
