Thai PM scraps offer to hold election on Nov. 14

Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Thursday said that he has withdrew the Nov. 14 election proposal after the "red-shirts" protesters refused to end rally.

However, the five-point reconciliation plan will be proceeded, the prime minister said on the sidelines of a seminar on community development.

Abhisit also vowed to return the situation back to normalcy before the beginning of new school term next Monday.
