Troops' operations will continue to besiege the anti-government rally site in central Bangkok

Thailand turmoil

aiming to pressure the anti-government protestors to disperse, Satit Wongnongtoey, the Pirme Minister's Office Minister told the nation during a television program on Monday afternoon.

Satit Wongnongtoey's statement, on behalf of the Thai government was made as the government's Center for Resolution of Emergency Situation (CRES) has kept ordering the protestors to leave the Rajprasong rally site by 03:00 p.m. local time on Monday.

Meanwhile, acting government spokesman Panithan Wattanayakorn said any demands to be made by the anti-government core leaders must be based on their true intention to restore normalcy to the country, which means ending the prolonged rally in central Bangkok.

Ending the prolonged rally is the best solution to the country' s intense political situation, Panithan said, adding that armed men among the protestors must also stop attacking troops.

At 14:00 hours on a national television program, the CRES repeatedly warned the protestors to "leave immediately the Rajprasong rally site by 15:00 hours" as terrorists are stationing around there.

Satit has earlier warned that currently there are three different groups of people, who have been targeted by the armed men around the anti-government rally sites.

The three different groups include media and medical personnel around the rally site and the Bangkok's residences nearby the violent clash sites.
