Israel released 32 Algerian activists who were on board a Gaza-bound aid fleet that was attacked by Israeli naval forces early Monday, Algeria's official APS news agency reported.

The Algerian activists have all been released at 4:00 a.m. ( 0300 GMT), said a statement by the Algerian Foreign Statement carried by the APS.

The release of the Algerians came after "contacts were made with the governments of friendly countries, including Jordan, Turkey, and Egypt," the statement said.

The release also said that the detention of the Algerian activists was "in violation of international laws after the ( Israeli) bloody attack on the Gaza-aid flotilla."

"All the Algerian activists are in good health, except one who is slightly injured," the statement said, noting that they were received by Algerian ambassador in Amman at the border crossing point with Israel King Hussein Bridge.
