Magnitude-6.4 quake hits off east coast of Russia

An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale hit off the east coast of Kamchatka, Russia, at 0356 GMT on Friday, according to a bulletin released by the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicenter, with the depth of 36 km, was initially determined to be 52.368 degrees north latitude and 159.988 degrees east longitude.
