Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has vowed again to smash the isolation plot of enemies during a recent domestic inspection, the DPRK's official newspaper reported Thursday.

According to the Rodong Sinmun, Kim made the remarks while inspecting the construction site of the Kumyagang Army-People Power Station.

Kim said the soldiers and civilian builders have successfully constructed the large-scale power station under difficult conditions, which showed the power of unity and the potential of the independent national economy.

This is yet another great victory in the struggle to thwart the attempts of other countries to isolate the DPRK and Korean-style socialism, the DPRK leader said.

Asking workers to complete the construction of the power station ahead of schedule, Kim said the ongoing construction across the country shows that the dynamic DPRK is "dashing ahead toward the peak of a great prosperous and powerful nation."

According to DPRK media reports on Wednesday, while inspecting the Ryongsong Machine Complex and Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, Kim said that the DPRK's people would not buckle under foreign attempts to isolate the country.
