Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with three Euro Group leaders in Brussels Tuesday, discussing the exchange rate issue.

"Since time is limited, let's directly go to the topic of the exchange rate," Wen said during the meeting with the Euro Group troika, which includes Euro Group President and Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet and EU Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn.

The premier said the specially-arranged meeting is important for China-EU relations.

On Monday, the three Euro Group leaders held talks with China's Finance Minister Xie Xuren and China's central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan in Brussels. Wen said the talks were "detailed and friendly."
