Iran and six major powers are likely to meet in Istanbul late January for nuclear talks, the semi-official ISNA news agency reported on Monday.

Negotiations are underway between Iran and five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany (G5+1) to meet late January for the talks, said the report without referring to the source of the news release.

The two-day nuclear talks between Iran and the six world powers, earlier this month in Geneva, failed to achieve concrete agreements apart from a plan to hold another round of dialogues in January next year in Istanbul.
