China, ROK sign memorandum on law enforement

China's Ministry of Public Security and Supreme Prosecutor's Office of Republic of Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on criminal enforcement on Friday.

Chinese Minister of Public Security Meng Jianzhu and Prosecutor General of Republic of Korea Kim Joon-gyu witnessed the signing of the memorandum.

Meng, also a state councilor, noted the increasing importance of law enforcement in the two countries' relations.

He called on the two ministries to enhance communication and collaboration on repatriation of criminal suspects and to crack down cross-border crimes.

Kim Joon-gyu said Republic of Korea was ready to enhance law-enforcement cooperation with China, so as to create a safe and orderly environment for bilateral economic and personnel exchanges.
