The death toll from Friday's traffic accident on a highway in Nicaragua has risen to eight, including a baby and a seven-year-old boy, rescuers said.
Earlier reports said at least six people were killed and seven others injured when a cargo truck turned over on the highway connecting Managua, Nicaragua's capital, with the southeastern city of Nueva Guinea.
The injured people were taken to the Asuncion Hospital in Juigalpa city, some 140 km east of Managua and two of them died.
Police have blamed the accident on a flat tire.
