Egypt's stock exchange market will reopen on Wednesday after two weeks' suspension due to the massive demonstrations that led to the ouster of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Khaled Serry, head of the Egyptian stock market told state news agency MENA on Saturday that given the current circumstances in Egypt, the stock market will reopen on Wednesday instead of Sunday.

Serry added that the decision was taken after consultations with the market's regulator, the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) and brokerage firms.

Egypt's stock market EGX 30 closes down at 10.52 percent drop on Jan. 27, with this loss the market closed down for nearly two weeks.
