Several Sunni mosques were ransacked with facilities damaged, Bahrain's Justice Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The ministry said that several Sunni mosques located in the capital were vandalized by group of unidentified people, who even went ahead and threatened the Imams.

The capital city of Manama has been terrorized since Sunday as anonymous group of young people armed with knives, sticks, logs are attacking foreign workers. A Pakistani national was stabbed to death in the capital.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) troops mainly from Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrived on Monday in Bahrain to restore law and order in the Kingdom. However, Bahrain's opposition groups said the troops coming into Bahrain was an invasion and called for immediate intervention of the UN.
