6.4-magnitude quake hits E. coast of Honshu in Japan

An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 1136 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 39.20 km, was initially determined to be at 38.7633 degrees north latitude and 141.9418 degrees east longitude.
