Yemeni president sustains severe burns

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has sustained severe burns over roughly 40 percent of his body in a rocket attack on his palace in Sanaa over last weekend, an official of Saleh's palace told Xinhua, noting the president will be back in two weeks.

The official, who asked not to be named, said the Saleh's injuries were more serious than previously reported, but the injuries will not imperil his life and he will go back to Yemen in two weeks.

Saleh was injured while praying in a mosque inside his palace in the capital last Friday.
