Chinese Foreign Ministry has published nearly 500 posts on its micro blog website, attracting over 200,000 followers since the site opened to the public on April 13, 2011.  

The micro blog site (http://weibo.com/wjxlt) is not the Foreign Ministry's press release hall and there is no spokesperson, but  one can find the ministry's responses to a wide range of hot foreign affair issues, including safety warning to Chinese living in Colombia, call for solution to Libya crisis throught political means, concern over the E. coli outbreak in Germay, China's stance on the principle of choosing the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
