Occupy Chicago protesters planned to set up camp again in the city's Grant Park on Saturday night, after last week's arrest of 175 people in the park.

About 1,500 protesters gathered at LaSalle Street and Jackson Boulevard and began marching to the park shortly after 7 p.m.(0000 GMT Sunday), police said.

On the evening of Oct. 15, some 2,000 protesters brought the anti-greed demonstration from downtown to Grant Park, hours before police started whisking many of them away on the grounds of enforcing a curfew.

The police are likely to act in a similar fashion Saturday night so as to avoid a bad precedent of dealing with demonstrators, who police sources said would possibly show up again when Chicago hosts the G8 and NATO summits next May.
